Phenoms Mission Statement and Code of Conduct

It has been noted that we need a bit more to define us as a clan. In so saying, this information will help along those lines.



This clan was founded on one general concept: “If we bring good people together, they will make an even better clan. The better the clan members, will in turn bring in people who want to be a part of it .”

Our members are our clan, so it is in this spirit that our members will always be counted on, and sought out, for input on critical decisions regarding the Phenoms. Although the council members will have the final vote, as Phenoms, no one will be discounted, and all suggestions will be heard and given the respect and consideration deserved.

Code of Conduct for all Phenoms

Based on the fact that we are adults, and as such, should be able to follow some very basic, and minimum standards, for all of our members.

Collusion - Otherwise known as cheating, will not be tolerated at any time. If collusion is proven against any member, you will be immediately banned. This first rule is non-negotiable on any level. If you feel you cannot follow this rule 100%, then this clan is probably not the right fit for you.

Respect - We want to be respected by the poker community as a clan, and that reguires being respectful to the poker community as a clan, but primarily as individuals. We are NOT going to police members, but we do expect all our members to show everyone the common courtesy and basic respect whether you feel it’s deserved or not. We will deal with any and all complaints as neccessary.

MEMBERS - Clan members will be given every chance to help us make this the best clan it can be.

Should you not understand anything written here, please feel free to contact a council member for better understanding.

One Last Piece of Information

Drama seems to be a big issue currently on several sites, but even more so on Railbirds lately. Drama is not tolerated within our clan either. So...we are adapting to a recent blog sent out by Topcat, who represents the prorails of Railbirds. Let it be known, if you haven't seen the NO DRAMA ZONE on The PokerPhenoms site, that you have seen it here. Your attitudes and behavior as individuals and members reflects back upon the clan as a whole as pleasedtobeatya has also stated.

Whether or not one is in a clan should not determine one's conduct. However, being a clanmember means that one's conduct takes on a new meaning,for the fact that others view individual actions as those of the whole group. Outbursts and insults have no place on the felts .Unfortunately ,we see this all too often,even in private tourneys ! As members of this great , rapidly emerging group we need to be reminded constantly , that as individuals we represent the clan , a reponsibility not to be taken lightly ! Accept poker for what it is and good conduct will come naturally ! Rock the felts with great play which speaks louder than words .

Thank you very much for your additional note to this pleasedtobeatya. I have attempted to bring as much information to what we hold dear to the clan overall. The NO DRAMA clause is actually listed on our PokerPhenoms Club site as well. But, it bears repeating here as well I believe. NO DRAMA, NO DRAMA, NO DRAMA!

I for one am going to represent phenoms as politically correct and as temperminded as possible as I am sure every other member will as well... I will do my part to try and make phenoms the best community and most respected but also feared on the felts thx for the oppertunity......
